Ethics & Sustainability

At Wildground, we believe our work must reflect the same values we promote in our projects: protecting nature, advancing sustainability, and creating positive impact for people and the planet.

Our Ethical Framework guides the clients, sectors, and projects we choose to work with. It ensures that our expertise contributes to solutions, not problems.

No-go Sectors

We will not engage with organisations or projects that are fundamentally incompatible with environmental sustainability or human rights. This includes:

  • Fossil Fuels: coal, oil, and gas exploration, production, and power generation.

  • Arms & Military: weapons and defence industries

  • Gambling: casinos and online betting firms (excluding lotteries with an explicit social good purpose)

  • Tobacco: Any part of the supply chain related to cigarettes and smoking

  • Mining: Any extractive practices with severe ecological or social harm, such as deep-sea mining and illegal operations.

  • Finance with Harmful Exposure: Financial institutions with large exposure to fossil fuels, arms, or deforestation, without a transition pathway.

Conflict & Human Rights

We will not work with companies that are directly linked to governments or state-owned enterprises engaged in wars of aggression or systematic human rights violations. This currently includes companies with significant exposure to Russia and Israel, due to the ongoing wars waged by these states that are causing widespread civilian harm, environmental destruction, and breaches of international humanitarian law.

As a mission-driven organisation, we cannot align ourselves with actors whose operations or affiliations are in direct conflict with our values of peace, human dignity, and sustainability.

Profit with Purpose

We’re not in it for the money. We’re here for positive impact. As well as ensuring we delivery high quality environmental impact through our day-to-day work, we donate 5% of our annual profit to environmental and/or humanitarian causes. We pledge to do this each and every year and where circumstances allow, we’ll donate more.

Below you can find a list of the causes we have donated to or plan to support in the current year:
