UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) Compliance Support

Practical support for UK businesses to meet their UKTR due diligence obligations and keep illegally harvested timber out of supply chains

The UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) came into force on 1 January 2021, replicating the requirements of the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) following Brexit. It requires any operator who first places timber or timber products on the GB market to implement a Due Diligence System (DDS) — gathering information on supply chain origin, assessing legality risks, and taking steps to mitigate those risks before products reach the market. Traders further down the chain must maintain traceability records on their suppliers and customers. Non-compliance carries the risk of criminal prosecution and significant reputational damage.

At Wildground, we provide practical, expert support to help businesses understand their UKTR obligations, build robust and auditable Due Diligence Systems, and approach OPSS inspections and customer enquiries with confidence.
